DECEMBER BUSINESS MEETING

MINUTES OF BUSINESS MEETING OF LAGOS CENTRAL LIONS CLUB, HELD ON 21ST DECEMBER, 2008 AT GODDIS GARDEN, OREGUN IKEJA, LAGOS STATE.

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at exactly 5:25 pm by the Presiding officer in person of Charter President Lion T.O.S Adewumi MJF NLCF. The National Anthem was thereafter recited by all.

READING AND ADOPTION LAST MINUTES
The minute was read and adopted by Lion Adedotun Olufunke and seconded by Lion Toyin Afuwape.

PRESIDENT’S WELCOME ADDRESS
Lion Lion T.O.S Adewumi welcomed members to the meeting and thanked them for their condolence visit to Lion Taiwo Rabiu after the demise of her mother.

INTRODUCTION

BOD REPORT
The BOD meeting failed to hold due to a party held at the meeting venue.

NEW BUSINESS
CONVENTION
The Convention Chairperson Lion Funke Ladega was implored to come up with the proposal on good hotel, rates, costumes for both Lions and Leos (tops or t-shirt), banner, band boys and amounts to be paid by members towards the convention.
Members were to come to the January meeting with their N2, 000:00 for Registrations and N1, 000:00 for the shirt.

PROJECTS
The project director Lion Toyin Afuwape said materials were ready for the project but it was due to demise of the President’s mother and a new date was scheduled for 3rd January, 2009.

ELECTION
Lion T.O.S Adewumi reported that election committee will be set up in January, because the election comes up soon. Members are encouraged to pay their dues because it will be use as the yardstick for contesting at the election into the new lionistic year.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
Lion Adedotun Olufunke was celebrated for the month of December.

TAIL TWISTING
Lion Toyin Afuwape acted as the tail-twister.

AOB/CORRESPONDENCES
1. Letters of condolence and sympathy cards should be written and given to both The President and 1st Vice on the demise of their loved ones.
2. The next BOD will be hosted by Lion Sola Sobowale in January.
3. New Year and end of the year party for LCLC, comes up in January.
4. Lion Toyin Afuwape invited members to honour his Dad as Bale of Alimosho in January.

ADJOURMENT
Motion for the adjournment was moved and seconded by Lion Bassey Blessing and Lion Kabiawu Babalola respectively at 6:20pm.
